For 4" slab-on-grade or retrofit applications
The HHRobertson 3+1 System offers you more capacity, less labor, larger outlets and a lower cost than underfloor duct systems. It can be fed with trench headers or with a cell feeder using large junction boxes, depending upon your needs. The 3+1 System offers a number of advantages, including:
- It can be installed in a single pour directly over a compacted fill. A concrete slab is not required. (A concrete slab IS required beneath the trench header.)
- The units' 4" deep open top trench provides a larger feeder with significantly more feed capacity than 2" cells or header ducts.
- Its full-size, 3" deep cells provide much more wiring capacity than conventional underfloor duct systems.
- Large, 3-service, preset outlet boxes allow adequate wiring space within the floor, providing room for two duplex receptacles plus telephone and data connections to accommodate workstations easily.
- On-grade and elevated slab activations are identical in appearance since the outlet box covers are identical.
